Nino Barraco is one of the most famous Sicilian artisans of natural wines. He cultivates unique and distinctive wines from indigenous grapes in Marsala on the west coast of the island.

Nino aims to evoke feelings with his wines. He wants to show what the grapes and the soil can express by them selves without any additives. All the work is done manually and no chemistry enters the wine making in any stage of the the process. Only natural indigenous yeasts are used during the spontaneous fermentation. The wines are not filtered nor clarified.

Nino’s idea is not to make the “perfect” wine but to make a deeply personal wine that expresses its terroir.
