Visiting VinNatur

image

Last week we visited the second annual VinNatur Natural Wine Tasting, which took place in the beautiful historical palace of the Stock Exchange in Genoa, Italy. This edition of the fair attracted 70 wineries, which brought over 300 wines with them and represented 14 regions in the process. Unlike some of the more established fairs that are being held in large and bright halls the event put together by VinNatur feels like a warm and friendly gathering of friends.

This warmth and friendliness is partially thanks to the common goal of all VinNatur members. The VinNatur Association unites vineyard owners from around the world that intend to defend the integrity of their terroir, respecting the history, the culture and the art that have been handed down to them over time while drawing inspiration from strong ecological ethics.

To produce wine in a natural manner means fully respecting the terroir, the vines and nature’s cycle and, through experimentation, limiting the use of invasive and toxic chemical and technological agents both in the vineyard and in the wine cellar.

It is the Association’s intent to preserve wine’s individuality from the standardisation that chemistry, technology and industrialisation have brought to the world of agriculture and particularly to wine related activities. It is the VinNatur Association’s goal to combine the forces of these winemakers and make each of them stronger, more aware and more visible through the sharing of experiences, studies and research.

Vino Nostrum is proud to represent 7 wineries which are VinNatur members, namely  Il Cancelliere, Radoar, Cinque Campi, Cascina ‘Tavijn, Ferdinando Principiano, Ca del Vent and soon to be available Etnella.

We’re very glad that we could meet a few of our friends in such a professional setting and share our mutual passion for wine. Some of them even posed for the camera to say hi!
