Cinque Campi

Our vineyard and family farm, located in the foothills of the Reggiano Appennine Mountains, has been handed down from father to son for over 200 years. Until relatively recently, the harvest has been solely for the consumption of the family. In 1980 we named the farm after the traditional name of our main lot of land, ‘Cinque Campi’ (translated: Five Fields), and we began selling wine in glass carboys to local customers. In 2003 we officially became an organic farm, although our land management and product processing was already organic. At this point we started bottling and labeling our wine. In 2005 we started the important process of reintroducing local vines that have become rare to the area. This allowed us to diversify our production and to create original and high-quality products today.

The use of biological methods in the cultivation of the vineyards and all the other production is driven by the deep conviction that the balance of nature should not be touched or changed. Every single living being present on the vine’s leafs, on the branches, into the soil is part of the territory’s natural balance, balance and originality that is found in our products. And we believe that this is the only possible way to make wine
